TRS - Planning for Retirement
Annual Enrollment will be from July 5, 2023 - August 17, 2023.
Below are the 2023-2024 plan highlights which have plan changes, plan comparisons, and rates. This is a passive enrollment, if you would like to stay with the same plan, you do not need to complete the annual enrollment process. If no action is taken, your current plan will rollover into the 2023-2024 plan year.

Health care worksheet - This new digital resource combines Plan Highlights with customized and fillable fields. Participants can estimate their health care costs for the year and choose the plan that makes the most sense for their family.
Personal Health Guides - available 24/7 by phone or chat
All changes, if any, must be made by August 17, 2023.
The effective date is 9/1/2023 and our employees are Actively Contributing (not Actively Working).
Please follow the procedures below for the annual enrollment process:
Returning Employees - If you are a returning enrollee and you want to change your benefit plan coverage for 2023-2024:
- Login to bswift at https://trsactivecare.bswift.com
- Find your district
- Click Go to Log In Page
- Login with username and password
- *If you forgot your password, please click forgot password and follow the prompts*
- Once logged in (on the homepage of bswift) you will click on the green button that says, "Click Here to Enroll!"
- Follow the prompts
New Employees - Complete the enrollment process by registering on bswift:
- Login to bswift at https://trsactivecare.bswift.com
- Find your District
- Click Create Your Account
- Enter the required information (*Indicates that it is a mandatory field)
- Once all required fields are completed, create a username and password
- You are now ready to enroll, once logged in you will click on the green button that says, "Click Here to Enroll!"
- Follow the prompts
Please note, this is only for TRS ActiveCare healthcare. All other insurances (dental, eye, disability, etc.) are completed through First Financial at the beginning of the school year.
Paycheck Timeline:
- September-Premium adjusted to reflect any rate change, effective September 1.
- October-Other insurance/deductions adjustments for changes, effective October 1.
